The Lookout Deck
Capetown
Seafood and Sushi
The Lookout Deck has got a spectacular view over Chapman's Peak - arguably the best of any restaurant in Cape Town. They serve up lunch and dinner on the wooden deck, suspended over the water, as you watch the bustling Hout Bay harbour moving boats of all description.
The restaurants is famous for it's wide menu, which unsurprisingly comprises primarily of seafood, which is freshly caught and brought in daily by the local fishermen. Cape Rock Lobster, succulent Mozambique and Black Tiger prawns, black mussels, calamari steaks and seared Yellow fin tuna steaks, are all served up by the expert chefs. Meat lovers need not despair, however, as they also offer a range of local high-grade meats.
On the lighter side there's also a selection of fresh salads, snack baskets, wood fired pizzas, and tasty breakfasts to boot.
In all, it's a great option in Hout Bay, if only for a light meal and a few drinks as the sun sets behind the mountain on another sublime Cape Town day.
Open daily from 10am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
