Bukhara Cape Town
Capetown
Indian
Situated in Cape Town's busy CBD, the original Bukhara invites you to enjoy great Indian food in a plush yet vibey, busy atmosphere. The glass-walled kitchen allows you to watch the chefs in action, as they cook up a selection of fine traditional Indian dishes . The decor at Bukhara is simple and understated, but at the same time fascinating, thanks to the ochre walls, thick wooden furniture imported from India, all set on solid green marble floors. Over the years this restaurant has received many accolades and solid reviews, and as such is frequented by a range of regulars, including business people, foodies, and even the odd local celeb.
All the restaurants in the Bukhara stable have their now signature open kitchens, which allows you to be entertained by the skulled Indian chefs at work, as they create succulent tandooris and mix the most mouth-watering aromatic curries.
The menu at Bukhara is largely North Indian, however there is a selection of regional cuisine on offer at the various branches. There are also some unique appearances, including various South Indian dishes, Kashmiri barbeques, and even traditionally South African meats, such as ostrich, springbok and kudu.
Popular favourites among loyal and new patrons include the likes of the butter chicken and tandoori lamb chops, which feature prominently on the menu, and when paired with their extensive wine list, make for a superb meal out.
