Embark on a full-day tour to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Take a scenic drive to Boulders Beach, see the penguins, and enjoy a guided hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope. Meet your guide at the V&A Waterfront and board a luxury tour bus with air-conditioning and free onboard Wi-Fi. Drive to Boulders Beach through Muizenberg and Fish Hoek. This area is part of the Table Mountain Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive at Boulders Beach and see the largest colony of African penguins in southern Africa. Continue to Cape Point and enjoy a scrumptious lunch before setting out to explore the Cape Point Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Cape Floral Kingdom World Heritage Site. Opt to take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the top of Cape Point (own cost) and enjoy a brilliant view of the lighthouse, which was constructed in 1859, as well as False Bay. Learn more about the history of Vasco Da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias, who named the area “Cape of Storm” in 1488. Enjoy a leisurely walk along some nature trails. There is an optional hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope. The hike takes about 40 minutes and is another great addition to a day outdoors. End the day with a coastal drive through Scarborough and Kommetjie and over the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass on the return route back to Cape Town City Bowl.
